01 Order Book Foundations What a DOM actually shows you

Before any detection means anything, the order book has to stop looking like noise. This module builds the mechanical model underneath every later lesson: what each column holds, what a limit order is doing while it waits, and what actually happens to the book when someone crosses the spread. Every idea here is worked through on a replayable book you can step through one event at a time.

  • 1.1 Three DOMs, One Market The same instant of ES in three order books — and what each generation of DOM can and cannot tell you.
  • 1.2 What a DOM Shows The price ladder and its columns: pending bids, pending asks, and the prints that land between them.
  • 1.3 Limit and Market Orders The two ways to interact with the book — waiting to be filled, or paying to be filled now.
  • 1.4 Stops and the Matching Engine A stop is a market order with a price attribute — it is not in the book, and that is why it slips.
  • 1.5 The Queue Price-time priority: why two orders at the same price are not worth the same.
  • 1.6 Execution Mechanics Step by step through a market order eating the opposite side of the book.
  • 1.7 Absorption and Slippage The two outcomes of aggression: the level holds, or the price moves.
  • 1.8 Adds, Pulls and Cancellations Size that appears and disappears without a single trade printing.
  • 1.9 Spoofing, and What It Is Not The word every trader reaches for when size disappears, and the one thing a book cannot show.
  • 1.10 Ticks and Instruments Futures move in ticks, not pips — and every contract defines its own.
  • 1.11 Contracts and Rollover Quarterly contracts, their symbols, and the week when two of them are alive at once.
  • 1.12 MBP vs MBO Aggregated depth versus order-level data — the distinction the whole T2G method rests on.
  • 1.13 Follow the Order Flow Nine orders on a full book — every mechanism of the module, at once.
02 Liquidity and the Orders Column Reading the queue on a real order book

Module 1 taught the queue as a mechanism and showed why aggregated depth destroys it. The T2G DOM draws it. This module is about one column — the Orders column — and what can be read from it: how liquidity is distributed across the two sides, what holds a group of orders together, what the composition of a level says that its total cannot, and how an order behaves once it starts to move. It closes on the limits of that reading, because the column is one part of reading a book, never the whole of it.

  • 2.1 The Orders Column What the column draws, and the three settings that make it legible.
  • 2.2 What to Look For The characteristics of an order, as a map you can navigate rather than a list to memorise.
  • 2.3 Reading a Distribution Alignment, zones, and what queue position says about age.
  • 2.4 Composition and Signature What a total is made of, and what makes scattered orders belong together.
  • 2.5 Reading Behaviour Chasing, pulling and defending — what the badges mean and what they do not show.
  • 2.6 Beyond the Badges Cancel and replace, surprise liquidity, and the watch no detection can do for you.
  • 2.7 Settings and Templates The settings dialog, and keeping a configuration you can reproduce.
03 The Inside Print Executed volume, where it prints

Module 2 read liquidity — size that may execute, may be pulled, may change. This module reads the other half: transactions that have already happened. The At Bid and At Ask columns are where aggressive orders print, which makes them the volume every chart interprets, and the T2G DOM shows that volume over a window you set in milliseconds rather than over a candle someone else's timeframe decided.

  • 3.1 What the Inside Print Shows Executed volume, two columns, and the window it is counted over.
  • 3.2 Dynamic Price Momentum Bullish, bearish or lateral — read from where the prints stop.
  • 3.3 Gaps Not every blank cell is the same. Some are events.
  • 3.4 The Passive Response Gap The gap the add-on finds for you, and what its figures mean.
  • 3.5 Reading the Volume How big is big — and three directions to compare in.
  • 3.6 Imbalances One side at least twice the other, in three geometries.
  • 3.7 Twins The same comparison coming out level — and the composite node, where several figures stack.
  • 3.8 The Market Aggressor One market order, one ID, and what the badge says about what met it.
  • 3.9 Stop Cascades A run of stop orders, many IDs, drawn where it ran.
  • 3.10 Sweeps One order crossing several levels, and what that costs whoever sent it.
  • 3.11 SPR — Sweep Passive Reuse One order ID, aggressive then passive, and the level where it changed roles.
  • 3.12 DSWEEP — The Dual Sweep One sweep on the E-mini and the E-micro at once, and the range it leaves behind.
  • 3.13 OOS — Out of Spread A burst at or beyond the best bid and ask, kept off the order book on purpose.
04 Icebergs Hidden size, and the two columns that find it

Everything so far has been read from size you could see. An iceberg is size you cannot: an order that shows a slice, has that slice taken, and puts another one back. Nothing in the Orders column says it is there, and nothing in the inside print says it either — only the fact that the level keeps answering. This module is the two columns that make it visible: ICB Active, which is what is refilling now, and ICB Cum, which is where icebergs fought until their last lot. The second turns out to be something the course has not met yet — a profile that redefines its own range without the market having to go back and retest it.

  • 4.1 What an Iceberg Is Hidden size that refills, how the DOM infers one from the message feed, and the kind it cannot see.
  • 4.2 The ICB Active Column Reading a badge: volume, age, displacement — and what several badges on one level mean.
  • 4.3 The ICB Cum Column Where icebergs were fully consumed: the bar, the two numbers, the window, and the warm-up it needs.
  • 4.4 The Dynamic Absorption Profile Forty minutes of one session, read through ICB Cum — and why this is not a volume profile.

Reading in Real Time

Two complete sessions, trade by trade, nothing left out

Everything so far has arrived one idea at a time. Here they arrive together, in the order the market sent them, with a decision owed before the next capture. Two complete sessions of ESZ6 on 30 September 2026, thirteen trades, shown whole: the ones that worked, the one that lost, the two where the order was cancelled before it ever filled, and the ones where the reading was sound and the handling was not. None of this is a setup. No configuration repeats, because the scenario and the context never repeat. What repeats is the method — name what is on the screen, say what would confirm it, decide, and keep reading after you have decided.

دروس هذه الوحدة، وعددها 14
  • 5.1 What These Trades Are For How to read this module, what it does not promise, and what to do in the gap between two captures.
  • 5.2 The Order That Was Never Filled A sell limit at the top of the range, moved once, then cancelled. The reading held and the trade never existed.
  • 5.3 A Tight Stop Needs a Short Target The same reading, taken this time: entry at the ask, stop behind the ICB Cum high, and a target chosen to fit the stop.
  • 5.4 A Surprise in Your Favour A buy filled instantly, then a buy sweep nobody asked for. Taking an unplanned gain and leaving.
  • 5.5 Cancelling Before the Fill A second order that never filled, withdrawn because the conditions behind it had changed, not because it was slow.
  • 5.6 The Reading That Did Not Hold The last trade of the session: a fifty-fifty read, a stop tightened twice, a partial target moved, and the stop hit.
  • 5.7 An Empty Book Fourteen captures through the news: depth almost gone, a 500-lot magnet, and the order that front-ran it.
  • 5.8 The Diagonal and the Cascade A long through the block: a diagonal imbalance that grows between two captures, a five-level cascade, and three stop moves.
  • 5.9 The Second Wave A short taken late in a move, held on a narrow plan, and flattened on a condition decided before it happened.
  • 5.10 Horizontal, Not Diagonal An imbalance read as diagonal that was horizontal, and a stop moved back. The most useful trade in the module.
  • 5.11 Against the Out-of-Spread Block A 299-lot wall swept out of spread by a single block, and a short taken against the impulse rather than with it.
  • 5.12 Good Entry, Late Exit A chasing order used as a moving stop reference, four stop moves in the right direction, and one piece of information ignored.
  • 5.13 Correcting a Stop A stop widened a second and a half after it was placed, and why that is not the mistake of the trade before it.
  • 5.14 One Tick in Front of the Magnet A long into an absorption floor, a target pulled in front of the resting size, and the capture that proves the precaution.
